Starting today in their english search results in the US, Google indicates whenever it detects that smartphones users are likely to be redirected to a different page from what they could expect. This would happen when the website is not properly set up to handle requests from smartphones and sends users to its smartphone homepage (“faulty redirect”).

Google is also providing advice and resources to help webmasters to direct the audience to the pages they want, reminding that responsive web design is one possible key solution to this problem.
